About 5G radiation effect son insects and pollinators
Insects have been essential to life on Earth for over 400 million years. In the last 50, their populations have declined by more than 50%. The third ETAIN webinar focuses on one of the least explored questions in this field: what role might radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation, including 5G technology, play in this decline?
In this episode, researchers from Greece and Cyprus take us inside their labs and field experiments to show how they study the behaviour, physiology, and survival of honeybees and other pollinators under exposure to radiofrequency EMF signals.
You'll hear from scientists monitoring how bees navigate, forage, and develop when exposed to 3.5 GHz and 24 GHz signals; researchers using RFID tags to track individual bees throughout their entire lives; and entomologists comparing insect populations and biodiversity in exposed versus non-exposed field areas.
The findings are preliminary, but the questions are urgent. If insects are affected, the consequences extend far beyond biodiversity: 70% of our food supply depends on pollination.

ETAIN tools to measure exposure to RF-EMF
In this second webinar, we dive deeper into the world of radiofrequency electromagnetic fields and explore how we can better understand our exposure to various types of radiation. We take an in-depth look at the app we are developing at ETAIN, the 5G Scientist App, alongside other tools like the Dose Calculator and the EU Exposure maps.
Additionally, we discussed actions you can take individually to contribute to our scientific research and ways to protect yourself from radiation emitted by everyday devices, like your phone.
